Boys names change a more slowly than girls names remaining constant over a long period of time – unlike popular girls names that change by the year.

First place for the past five years has been Jack, while from 2002-2005 second place has been Joshua, with Thomas in third place for those years. In 2001 Joshua and Thomas swapped places.

James has been in 4th place from 2001-2005 while Daniel has been stuck in 5th place except for 2005 when it dropped to 6th place, replaced by Oliver which had been gaining ground year from 12th place in 2001. Samuel dropped to 7th in 2005, from it’s high of 6th in 2004. William, Harry and Joseph have been floating around 8th, 9th and 10th for the last five years (William just making it to 7th in 2002).
