Christopher Columbus
Christopher Columbus (Genoa?, 1451 to May 20, 1506, Valladolid, Spain) was a navigator and maritime explorer who is one of several historical figures credited as the discoverer of the Americas. It is generally believed that he was born in Genoa, although other theories and possibilities exist. The name Christopher Columbus is the Anglicization of the Latin Christophorus Columbus.

Rosa Parks
Rosa Parks (February 4, 1913 to October 24, 2005) was an African American civil rights activist later called "Mother of the Modern-Day Civil Rights Movement". On December 1, 1955, she became famous for refusing to obey bus driver James Blake's order that she give up her seat. This action of civil disobedience started the Montgomery Bus Boycott, which was one of the largest movements against racial segregation in the USA.

Gary Soto
Gary Soto (born February 1952) is an American author and poet. He has received many awards for his writing, which is centered on the Mexican-American or Chicano experience. He was born and raised in Fresno, California, to working-class Mexican-American parents. He had low grades throughout school, but became interested in poetry in high school and began writing poetry while he attended Fresno City College. Soto moved on to California State University, Fresno for his undergraduate degree, and then to the University of California, Irvine, where he earned a Master of Fine Arts degree in 1974.

Salvador Dali
Salvador Domingo Felipe Jacinto Dalí i Domènech, Marquis of Pubol (May 11, 1904 to January 23, 1989). He was a skilled draftsman, best known for the striking, bizarre, and beautiful images in his surrealist work. Born in Catalonia, Spain, Dalí insisted on his "Arab lineage", claiming that his ancestors were descended from the Moors who invaded Spain in the year 711, and attributed to these origins, "my love of everything that is gilded and excessive, my passion for luxury and my love of oriental clothes."

Drew Barrymore

Drew Blyth Barrymore (born February 22, 1975) is an American actress and film producer, the youngest member of the Barrymore family of American actors. She has her own production company, Flower Films. Barrymore made her screen début in Altered States (1980); she made her breakout role two years later in E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial. She quickly became one of Hollywood's most recognized child actresses.

Eddie Van Halen

Edward Van Halen (born Edward Lodewijk van Halen on January 26, 1955 in Nijmegen, Netherlands), is a guitarist, songwriter and producer most famous for being leader and a co-founder of the hard rock band, Van Halen. Eddie Van Halen is also known as a skilled keyboardist, as demonstrated in his performance on the smash hit "Jump".

Archimedes

Archimedes of Syracuse (c.287 BC to c.212 BC) was a Greek mathematician, physicist and engineer. Although little is known about his life, he is regarded as one of the most important scientists in classical antiquity. In addition to making important discoveries in the field of mathematics and geometry, he is credited with producing machines that were well ahead of their time. Archimedes produced the first known summation of an infinite series with a method that is still used in the area of calculus today.

Paula Abdul

Dr Seuss

Theodor Seuss Geisel (March 2, 1904 to September 24, 1991) was a famous American writer and cartoonist best known for his classic children's books under the pen name Dr. Seuss, including The Cat in the Hat, Green Eggs and Ham, One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish and How the Grinch Stole Christmas. His trademarks were his rhyming text and outlandish creatures.
