The 1970s was the era of glam rock, and ABBA created the style of glam-pop with their brightly coloured and trend-setting costume design that featured heavily in the videos they made. Their international success made the videos essential as they could not keep up with personal appearances and Agnetha didn’t like flying or being away from her children longer than necessary.

Owe Sandström was their designer. He was a teacher but had a passion for clothes design and designed most of ABBA’s outfits together with his partner, Lars Wigenius.

From yellow and blue cat dresses to the white jumpsuit with white and green cape; Owe’s spandex designs in shades of blue, purple and white, play a major role in ABBA memories.
